As part of the school's commitment to ensure every child has an opportunity to learn to play an instrument, Year 5 children have been learning the saxophone. The children have been having lessons in school and taken their instruments home to practice, as they worked towards an event at the Bridgewater Hall on 22nd June 2011. On this date the children, together with 1500 children from across Trafford, sang and played their saxophones and other instruments with the Halle Orchestra. All the costs of the tuition and performance have been met by the school.

In previous years we have offered African drumming and samba drumming. Next year we are looking forward to offering double reed instruments to year 5.
